Water Allocations in the Murray Murrumbidgee RegionWater Allocations or (Available Water Determinations)Department of Natural Resources will make formal available water determinations on the 15 th of each month (adjusted to the first working day after the 15 th if it should fall on a weekend or public holiday). Notification will be via publication in local newspapers and media releases. To further assist customers, the Murray Murrumbidgee Region water management team have devised the data sheets to assist in explaining the way the monthly Water Allocation announcements have been calculated. Murray Valley - 15 May 2006 (RTF) Water Allocation PlansEach year the Murray- Murrumbidgee region published an annual Water Allocation Plan for each valley. The AAPs outlines how the rules established in the Water Sharing Plan governing the relevant water source will be implemented from 1 July 2005 to 30 June 2006 . It details how water will be shared between consumptive users and the environment and how available water for licensed water users will be determined and announced during the irrigation season. The plan also identifies water management issues, which may influence the available water for consumptive use during the irrigation season and the options available for water trade.
