The Natural Resources Advisory Council
The NSW Government has established a single, independent body to provide expert and stakeholder advice on the management of our land and water resources.
The Natural Resources Advisory Council (NRAC) reports directly to the Minister for Natural Resources and the NSW Cabinet's Rural and Natural Resources Standing Committee.
Convened by Linda Burney MP, NRAC has 27 board members representing a broad range of groups, including farmers, the fishing sector, industry, local government, the Aboriginal community and environmental organisations. Together, these stakeholders provide clear, comprehensive and balanced policy advice and expertise on natural resource management.
NRAC works closely with the Department of Natural Resources and other NSW agencies to ensure that stakeholder views are taken into account when management decisions are made.
