North Coast Regional Algal Coordinating Committee

The North Coast Regional Algal Coordinating Committee was formed in April 1994. The North Coast RACC covers all the coastal catchments from Camden Haven (immediately south of Port Macquarie), north to the Tweed on the Queensland border, as well as the eastern fall of the Northern Tablelands which comprises upper catchments of the Macleay and Clarence rivers.

RACC Membership

The North Coast RACC has members from State and Local Government. There are representatives from the NSW DWE, NSW Department of Health, DECC – EPA, CMA, Department of Primary Industries – Agriculture and Fisheries, State Emergency Services. Local government representatives also include several water supply county councils. Each agency has statutory requirements for various aspects of environmental and public health.
